Bulgarian music, dance, wine tasting and grill dishes in Fonó

Since the agreement to disband the CMEA, we do not know much about the Bulgarians, although some interesting things are worth mentioning.  For example, one of Bulgaria's most important treasures is its music. Is it possible that aliens are listening to the song of Valja Balkanska called "Izlel e Delyu Haydutin" in their space limo, since that we have sent this song from the deck of the Voyager 1 spacecraft to the distant civilizations as part of the most beautiful cultural collection of mankind.

Then, Bulgaria is the only country in Europe that has not changed its name since its foundation.

We also tell you that the Bulgarian Rose Valley gives approximately the 80% of the the world's total rose oil quantity. And actually, on the 12th of May, 2017, the Karandila Orchestra is coming from Bulgaria, and will give a hilarious party with dance and gastronomic delights.

Szliven is the stronghold of the gypsy brass music in Bulgaria, which is mainly known in its serbian variant and is spread  throughout the Balkans. It is not a  coincidence that the Karandila band, which performed all over Europe, is coming from there. The band leader and founder Angel Tichaliev revived the region's best traditions and formed a superb, professional and entertaining band.

Karandila is a real wedding band, its musicians can play 12 hours a day without stopping when the party requests so. And gypsy weddings often last for 3 days. At the Fonó Buda Music House, we can't listen to their songs for several days, but for a whole night, while dancing with the dancers of the Karandila and Martenica Dance Ensemble. The dance-house will be led by Tímea Nagy.

Before, while and after the Karandila makes us move our feet, the buffet of Fonó become a cultur-bistro, a Michelin-star Bulgarian restaurant. What one must taste: kebapcse, kyufte, shopska salad, fried pepper. Of course, other delicacies are also recommended. And to get more into the taste, the Bulgarian Wine Embassy offers a pleasant Bulgarian wine tasting. It's impossible to say no.

After the Bulgarian evening, the next stop in the Babel Sound series in Fonó will be the Italian culture (19 May), with music, dance and gastronomy. Of course, Babel Sound will not let the summer pass away without world music. On the beach of Balatonboglár there will be an amazing, international, cultural chaos between 17-23 July, 2017. There goes the music, the art, the taste and sweet smell of the world: the Babel Sound Free interactive world music festival. In the most interactive way, and for free!
